Here's the question:
When you write reviews, do you write them as you are reading
or wait until you have read the entire book?
Oh, I wish! I'm not that organized to be jotting notes while I'm reading. I try to take notes and sometimes I put a sticky note at a particularly great passage but I'm inconsistent. I want to be better but don't like my reading to be regulated either. Often I'm reading on the fly also like the past few weeks I've been getting extra reading done while my daughter is at play practice. I sit in the lobby and read-I never have post-its or my notebook with me.
I read a post written by a fellow blogger that said she always finished her post for a book before she even started another book. I admire that but feel like a "kid-blogger" cuz I want the reading to be number one and blogging, the side writing adventure. At some points I'm several books behind and I don't review all the books I read either. Sometimes I have to combine review posts because the library is begging for their books back. I don't think these things are going to change soon either; my life is fun and crazy busy!
What about you? Do you write and read at the same time? Or are you morea fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants blogger?
I have to clean my house tomorrow night because my mom is coming to take care of my children while I head to an undisclosed location for one night away with my husband. My house needs to be clean for my mom but after the house is clean I will be ready to relax and blog hop my Friday night away!!
Happy Friday....

Happy reading.
Hello, found you through the Hop! :]
I agree. I prefer to move on to my next book whether my review for the previous one is finished or not.
Have a good weekend!
Hi! I wait to the end to write the review and use all the notes I took about insights I had into the characters and the plot. It's made a HUGE difference in the quality of my review.
HOP by and visit
Hopping through! Like you I can be a bit inconsistent as well, I sometimes think I should be a bit more thorough in my notetaking and marking of interesting passages, etc. But I also get so involved in a book that I don't like to stop, even just to make notes!
Happy Friday!

New follower here!
I *try* to post my review before starting another book, so things don't get muddled in my head... but sometimes that just doesn't work out!

I review after I have read the entire novel, but not necessarily before starting another one. I am usually a few books ahead of my reviews... and sometimes I just never get around to reviewing a book. :) Reading = #1, Reviewing = 2nd!
I could not imagine writing the review as I read. Things change! You can change your mind! I do mark passages as I go along ... and if I can't figure out what I liked when I write my review, I don't include it.
I would so like to catch up on writing my reviews ... it would help me tremendously to not be always playing catch-up. Sometimes I start to forget things!
Hopping by-great blog! I agree with you about the reviews. I can never write a review before I've finished a book, and by the time I get to a review that book could have been finished two books ago. Books are the main adventure for me too!

Hopping on by to say hello! I agree with what you said about taking notes --- I try to be good about it, but sometimes, I just get so into the book that I forget (or I forget to grab a notecard with my book). Have a great weekend!

I almost always start new books before writing the review for the last book I read. I need to take a few days after finishing a book to let it all sink in, but I like to start new books right away because I'm always reading and don't want to put that on hold until I write a review :)
